1. Hear Legend John Fogerty at the Capitol Theatre (4/15)
John Fogerty will play his iconic Clearwater Revival Hits and more at the Capitol Theatre Concert in Port Chester on April 15. The Grammy winner is known for songs such as Centerfield,” “Proud Mary,” “Susie Q,” “Fortunate Son,” “Born on the Bayou,” “Bad Moon Rising” and “Have You Ever Seen the Rain.” He has been inducted into both the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert begins at 8 p.m. Check the website for current protocols. Tickets range from $99.50 to $229.50.

2. Catch the Hudson Valley Renegades in their home game opener (4/19)
The Hudson Valley Renegades take on the Brooklyn Cyclones in their home game opener at Dutchess Stadium on April 19 as part of a six-game homestead. Cheer on the New York Yankees minor league team, join in the fan fun between innings and eat the usual baseball fare. The first 1,000 fans will be part of a pennant giveaway to celebrate the team’s North Division Championship in 2021. Ticket prices vary depending on single or package selection. Check the website for current protocols. The game begins at 7:05 p.m.

3. Write for Your Life: An Evening with Anna Quindlen (4/20)
Join in a simulcast of author and columnist Anna Quindlen’s conversation at the Jacob Burns Film Center on April 20. She will discuss her new book which shows why writing should become an essential part of a person’s life. Those in theater 2 will join the sold-out discussion by simulcast. Each ticket includes a signed copy of Anna Quindlen’s new book Write For Your Life, courtesy of The Village Bookstore. Anna Quindlen will be personalizing copies after the event. KinoSaito Open Studios Weekend: Jessica Segall & Kambui Olujimi (Verplanck): Join the first Open Studios Weekend from 1 to 5 p.m. to see the works of two artists in residence at the KinoSaito Studio. NYC artist Jessica Segall is a multidisciplinary artist whose recent exhibitions include The Fries Museum (NL), The National Museum of American Jewish History, and Coreana Museum of Art (KR) and screenings at the TED Climate Countdown and COP 26 in Scotland. A multi-grant recipient, she received her bachelor’s degree from Bard College and MFA from Columbia University in 2010. Brooklyn native Kambui Olujimi is a visual artist, designer, and filmmaker. It is said his art “challenges established modes of thinking that commonly function as ‘inevitabilities.’” His art, which has been seen internationally, spans many media including sculpture, writing, and video. Two Right Feet’s Springtime Series – “Boing!” (Bronxville): Join in the musical and reading fun event with Flora and Fauna. Whether live or virtually, this festive, spring event is perfect for the young set, ages 1-6 with a caregiver. Children also get to be part of the Ugly Bug Ball, where they all move like crickets, butterflies, and ladybugs.
