Yorktown Police Seek Help in K-Mart Parking Lot Robbery
The Yorktown Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance investigating a robbery that occurred in the parking lot of K-Mart Thursday afternoon.
At about 3:45 p.m. a local woman reported to police that she was sitting in her car when an unknown male opened the passenger side door, sat inside and held her a knifepoint demanding money. After several minutes the suspect exited the car and fled in an unknown direction. Several Yorktown police officers and the Westchester County Police aviation unit conducted an unsuccessful search of the area for the suspect.
The suspect was described as a light skinned black male, early 20s, about 5’8, average weight, with little pock marks on both cheeks, wearing a light grey parka type jacket with tan fur around the hood and a black beanie type hat.
Anyone who can identify the suspect or has information about the robbery is asked to call Yorktown Police at (914) 962-4141.
