Is the election anxiety getting to you too? The best cure is to, in the wise words of Michelle Obama, do something!
This November, make sure candidates that align with your values win at the ballot box by volunteering and getting involved. You can find out about many events in Yorktown and surrounding communities by visiting www.Mobilize.us/NYDems right now.
Another cure for political anxiety is to get engaged with candidates and elected officials at the local level. These are the folks you will meet at community events, grabbing a coffee in town, and you can see firsthand how they are working for you day in and day out. State Sen. Pete Harckham, Assemblywoman Dana Levenberg and Zack Couzens are those candidates.
Pete and Dana are bringing back school funding and grants to Yorktown, which builds infrastructure and supports programs we all love without burdening your local tax bills. When Zack is elected to represent the 94th Assembly District, he will join the next generation of leaders we need to fight for us. Get involved with your local Yorktown Democrats to help ensure we are a welcoming community for all. Visit www.YorktownDemocrats.com to learn more.
I hope you will join me in voting for Democrats up and down the ballot this November – Kamala Harris for President and Tim Walz for Vice President, Kirsten Gillibrand for U.S. Senate, Mondaire Jones for Congress, Pete Harckham for state Senate, and for Assembly, Dana Levenberg in District 95 and Zack Couzens in District 94.
Don’t forget to flip your ballot and vote “Yes” on Proposition 1 to protect abortions and our freedoms in New York. Early voting starts Oct. 26 and runs through Nov. 3. Election Day is Nov. 5.
