White Plains Parking Commissioner Resigns
White Plains Parking and Recreation and Parks Commissioner Al Moroni resigned suddenly Tuesday, with no reason given for his departure.
“The Mayor accepted Commissioner Moroni’s resignation yesterday,” Karen Pasquale, senior advisor to Mayor Tom Roach, said in an e-mail. “The resignation will officially take effect in 30 days. He will not be in the office during that time.”
She added, “There were no publicly stated reasons given for the resignation.”
For now, John Larson, the deputy parking commissioner under Moroni, will be heading the parking department and Francine Croughan will be managing Recreation and Parks, Pasquale said.
