White Plains Fireworks Postponed to July 6
We are part of The Trust Project
As a result of the weather forecast for Friday, July 1, the City of White Plains Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks will be postponed to Wednesday, July 6th, 6 to 10 p.m., at White Plains High School.
The National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting showers and thunderstorms for both the daytime and evening hours on Friday. NWS also notes that some storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Unfortunately, these are not optimal conditions for fireworks nor for an outdoor celebration. So while we are disappointed to have to postpone, we hope that residents will be able to join us on the rain date: Wednesday, July 6th.
