White Plains City Lights – Bright Holiday Nights
The City of White Plains will kick off the start of the holiday season on Sunday, November 29th with its annual City Lights, Bright Holiday Nights Community Celebration from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in Tibbits Park. All are invited to attend and take in the sights and sounds of the season. We promise an evening filled with fun family entertainment in the heart of White Plains.
Guests will enjoy music provided by: Standard Deviation (performing rockin’ holiday tunes), the White Plains Youth Bureau Chorus, Taiko Drummers (traditional Japanese drumming,) the Forever Young Singers of the White Plains Senior Center, the White Plains Middle School Jazz Band, and the Stepinac Winds.
We hear that Santa and his famous reindeer will be making a special visit to Tibbits Park for the occasion. Also visiting the park will be special guests Frosty, Rudolph and Olaf. Other park activities include a spectacular ice carving exhibit, face painting, hands-on crafts, and train and carousel rides. Mayor Tom Roach will light the beautiful evergreen in the park, the Hanukkah dreidel and the holiday lights around the park. Each will be decorated with LED lights to be enjoyed for the season. Complimentary refreshments will be provided and food may be purchased from everyone’s favorite Walter’s Hot Dog Truck.
We would like to recognize and thank the community sponsors of our City Lights, Bright Holiday Nights event: Whole Foods Market, Muse Paint Bar, Webster Bank, and The Rockland Boulders Minor League Baseball Team.
Tibbits Park is located at the corner of North Broadway and Main Street. This event is free and open to all White Plains residents.
