Patrice’s Picks: This Week’s Three Best Bets
1. Sprint to Flint run (6/17)
Start the weekend early with Larchmont’s “Sprint to Flint” run. The one-mile run begins at 6:30 p.m. for children and the 5K kicks off at 7:15 p.m. Pizza and music will follow in Flint Park for all participants. Walkers and runners will hear live music from the Larchmont Music Academy and School Of Rock Mamaroneck on both routes. Head to the American Legion for pizza provided by Villa Maria Pizza following the run. One-mile finishers will enjoy ice pops from Chloe’s Pops. The first 50 people who bring their bib to Billy and Pete’s Burger Bar will receive a free beer or soda. Must register in advance.

2. Broadway Let Loose (6/19)
The Bedford Playhouse brings its Broadway series back to Bedford this summer with four shows as part of the series. They begin the season with Broadway Let Loose, which looks at Broadway show tunes in a way you have never seen or heard before. Shows are on the Great Lawn and run for 75 minutes. The first three shows of the series begin at 5 p.m. with the September show starting at 7 p.m. Tickets: Broadway Series Pass: $100 Adult/$50 Child; Individual Show: $30 Adult/$15 Child; Members: $25.50; Adult/$12.75 Child (individual shows only).

3. Small Group Birding (6/22)
Join the Saw Mill River Audubon for an evening walk through Rockefeller Preserve to watch for different bird species. All levels of bird watchers are invited. Be sure to let the group know if you need to borrow binoculars. Only a few slots left for the small group. The event is free.
