🎵 PRELUDE: Going to California
Led Zeppelin was an English rock band formed in London in 1968. The group consisted of vocalist Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page, bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. Although they are one of the progenitors of “hard rock” their style drew from a variety of influences, including blues and folk music.
The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995, was the recipient of a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005, and also awarded five Diamond albums, fourteen Multi-Platinum, four Platinum, and one Gold album in the United States.
One of the most exciting live acts around, Lez Zeppelin, an NYC-based all-girl band who brings gender-bending passion to the music of Led Zeppelin, will be performing at Paramount Hudson Valley Theater in Peekskill on April 9. Tickets are still available for the show.
