The noodle is a versatile food that has taken on many different shapes and dishes in various cuisines and cultures. Luckily for us, Westchester boasts some eclectic noodle options that will make your taste buds do a little dance. And what better way to close out National Noodle Month (yep, that’s a thing!) than with a tour of the area’s best offerings.
Curry Rib Tip Ramen at Roc-N-Ramen
This informal Japanese eatery is bringing all the flavors into unique dishes. Roc N’ Ramen is not afraid to mix bold and classic, especially with their ramen. Their curry rib tip ramen shines with powerful flavors and tender meat all with their comforting ramen.
The rib tips are prepared with house seasoning, herbs, and aromatics and marinated. Then they’re slowly cooked until they’re fall-off-the-bone tender. Once the meat reaches maximum tenderness, it’s drained and stored away. Made to order, the wok is heated on high, and the rib tip is tossed into your flavor/cook of choice; BBQ, curry, jerk, or grilled over ramen.

Although there are plenty of soups to choose from, you might want to feast your eyes on the crispy duck noodle soup. Crispy marinated duck is laid out on a bed of noodles in a light broth. The menu also offers the same soup but with wontons.

Chicken Alfredo Tacos at Mt Kisco Diner
The Mt. Kisco Diner is known for its bold, unordinary yet delicious dishes. It’s no different for their untraditional tacos. Imagine angel hair pasta dressed in a creamy Alfredo sauce stuffed in a taco. The craziest part? The taco shell is a breaded and deep-fried chicken cutlet. The cutlet is so juicy and tender while the pasta is perfectly cooked. You’re basically eating an Italian taco and we’re here for it!
The diner has also created other noodle tacos such as ones stuffed with penne vodka and mozzarella, or one stuffed with macaroni and cheese and bacon in a buffalo chicken cutlet.

This quaint Italian restaurant has been a trademark restaurant in Westchester for over 14 years. Its unique setting of an original 1950s diner brings charm and class under one roof while serving regional-style Italian fare.
The Linguine Nere is not your traditional seafood pasta dish. The name simply translates to “black linguini,” and the reason it’s black is that the color comes from squid ink, giving the pasta a bit more of a rich, briny flavor. It’s topped with bay scallops, oven-dried tomatoes, asparagus, lemon zest, and fresh basil mixed with a light pesto sauce.
