Veterans Day Ceremony Planned
The City of White Plains will pay tribute to its veterans at its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Monday, November 11, 2103 at the Soldier’s and Sailor’s Monument in the White Plains Rural Cemetery located at 167 North Broadway. The ceremony will begin at 10:30 am.
The event, organized by the Mayor’s Veteran’s Committee, will feature recollections and insights by keynote speaker USMC Staff Sergeant Jason Freeland, in addition to various other speakers. WWII Veteran, Ross Marsico, will be honored this year.
Mayor Thomas M. Roach thanks the White Plains American Legion Post # 135 for hosting the event and the Mayor’s Veteran’s Committee for their work on behalf of veterans. All residents and visitors are invited to attend and honor our veterans who have sacrificed so greatly.
