TD Bank Robber at Jefferson Valley Mall Sought
Yorktown Police are looking for a man who robbed TD Bank in the Jefferson Valley Mall Monday afternoon.
Police said a white male in his 30s, between 5’7” and 5’10” with a slim build, wearing a tan colored baseball cap and dark colored Nautica jacket, entered the bank about 4:52 p.m. and produced a handwritten note to one of the tellers demanding cash.
The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash to the perpetrator who left the bank and was last seen heading east on Bank Road in the area of Toys R Us. K-9 units from the Yorktown Police Department and Westchester County Department of Public Safety were utilized in an attempt to track the suspect, but the scent was lost on Bank Road.
No weapon was displayed during the robbery and no one was injured. Several employees and at least one customer were in the bank at the time of the incident. Bank security cameras captured several photographs of the robber.
Anyone with information on the crime is asked to contact Yorktown Police at 962-4141 or 962-3856.
