Support Your School at the First NWH FitQuest

Northern Westchester Hospital will host the first NWH FitQuest on Saturday, May 12. FitQuest will bring together all the communities in Northern Westchester for an afternoon of fun and challenging fitness activities in an effort to promote health and wellness throughout our community, while supporting local schools and the hospital.
Participants from 27 elementary schools across 9 school districts will all converge on the 200,000 square foot FitQuest field at Chappaqua Crossing to compete through a series of exciting activity stations offering varying levels of difficulty. The stations will focus on flexibility, balance, and endurance. There will be cooperative challenges that will involve teamwork, and best of all, parents will be getting just as sweaty and dirty as their kids, as they complete these challenges as a family!
By participating, you are also increasing your school’s chance of winning one of four health and wellness grants. Grants in the amount of $1,250 each are being awarded to an elementary school or district for the most funds raised and the largest number of participants.
FitQuest will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at Chappaqua Crossing – 480 Bedford Road, Chappaqua, NY. The event will be held rain or shine and registration is required; no walk-ins will be admitted.
Chappaqua Crossing, WeeZee…World of Yes I Can!, The Journal News Media Group, Dolphin Organics, Mount Kisco Medical Group, and Mount Kisco Child Care Center along with many other community members, businesses and organizations have signed on as FitQuest sponsors in support of our local schools and Northern Westchester Hospital.
