Spaghetti Dinner to Benefit Ferrari Family Wed at Hen Hud
A Spaghetti Dinner hosted by The Hendrick Hudson Lions Club to benefit the family of a Montrose man who died in the recent Metro-North train derailment will be held Wednesday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Hendrick Hudson High School.
The dinner was originally scheduled for Tuesday night but was postponed by the snowy weather. The fundraiser was initially intended to help cover the costs of food and gifts for Hen Hud needy and their children at the holidays, but the Metro North fatal accident forced a change of plans.
All of the money raised at the event will be given to the family of James Ferrari, the Montrose resident killed in the crash, and to an 18-year-old Hendrick Hudson High School graduate who was injured. Ferrari was the sole provider for his family. Donations are also being accepted online at

Admission to the dinner is $10 for adults, $5 for kids 10 and under. No registration is required. Pictures with Santa Claus will also be available. For more information contact Steve Purcigliotti at 914-646-5981 or Clare Carey at 914-257-5160.
