Slater’s Leadership Points to Why He Should Be Returned to Assembly

I am supporting Assemblyman Matt Slater for re-election because New Yorkers are struggling and we need leaders focused on real solutions to help people get back on their feet. I had the privilege of working with Assemblyman Slater during his time as Yorktown supervisor and saw firsthand how he invested the time to understand important issues facing our community.
Under his leadership, the town created the Food Insecurity Task Force to address the needs of so many people in Yorktown, and he has brought those lessons and that great passion of his to Albany to help even more people. He has proposed legislation that will stop taxing retirement income for seniors, sponsored the NY Food Insecurity and Farm Resiliency Act and helped build a bipartisan coalition in support of School Meals for All to make sure every child can be fed at school.
Assemblyman Slater’s exemplary leadership is only surpassed by his incredible compassion and determination to make New York a better place for everyone.
