It has been almost 20 years since I had the privilege to serve the Town of Carmel-Mahopac and the County of Putnam. Since my wife Terry and I continue to reside in Mahopac, I have been able to watch with admiration the work of Matt Slater as Yorktown supervisor and now currently serving as our Assembly representative for many of the towns and villages that I similarly served.

Matt has used his experience with state officials as supervisor and now assemblyman to produce significant results for our families in combating opioid addiction, protective laws for children against sexual assault predators, tax relief and increased funding for all our school districts and local libraries.

I believe that Matt exemplifies the values we all share in our communities for our environment, with a common-sense approach that balances proper growth, which benefits our businesses and residents. Matt works well with his colleagues on both sides of the aisle in the state legislature, that is rarely seen, if ever, on the national level.

My hope is that you will take the time to vote for Matt on Nov. 5, as I am convinced, he will continue to demonstrate his strong work ethic and his diligence in sponsoring and co-sponsoring, with his colleagues, laws that will make your quality of life much improved now and in the future.
