Sheriff Releases Photo of Brewster Robbery Suspect
Investigators assigned to the Putnam County Sheriff Department’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation have released a photograph taken from a surveillance camera of a man who is the suspect in an alleged armed robbery of a Brewster deli on Tuesday, May 15.
Investigators have obtained leads toward developing a suspect in this case, however, they are a releasing photo of the suspect in this case and asking for the public’s help in identifying him.
The suspect is identified as a white or light-skinned Hispanic male, 25 to 30 years-old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, of medium build, and last seen wearing a black watch cap, black hooded sweatshirt bearing the word, “ROCAWEAR” printed on the front, gray sweat pants with two stripes on each leg of the pants and tan shoes. Shortly before 8 p.m. on May 15, the Sheriff’s Office responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting that a man had entered a North Main Street deli, brandished a knife and demanded money from the clerk. The robber grabbed an undisclosed amount of currency from the cash register and fled on foot. No injuries were reported.
