When state Sen. Peter Harckham took office in 2019, he promised to deliver for the 40th Senate District.
And he has – again and again.
Senator Harckham is proud to say that he has delivered more than $210 million in state aid to schools in District 40 during his years in office, and Putnam County is most certainly not left out of that. Brewster has seen a 69 percent increase in school aid since 2019, Carmel has received a 43 percent increase and North Salem has received a 41 percent increase. This aid has gone toward improvements in infrastructure, playground updates and operational advancements to give our students the education they deserve.
Senator Harckham has also provided grants to public libraries throughout Putnam County, strengthening education outside of the classroom. He has delivered millions to emergency first responders, from new police vehicles in Brewster to fire department stretchers in Mahopac. Senator Harckham hasn’t forgotten anyone.
When it comes time to vote this November, remember who has produced tangible impacts for Putnam County. It shouldn’t be a difficult decision.
