Professional Women of Putnam: ‘Celebrate Your Heart’
Heart disease is the number one killer of women and the Professional Women of Putnam is planning an evening of education, networking and hands on demonstrations to help educate women and to fight the disease.
Almost 420,000 women die annually from cardiovascular diseases. That’s more female lives taken than from the next four causes of death combined, including all cancers.
The evening will feature guest speakers, including Rosemary Hyland of Mahopac National Bank.
Putnam National Golf Club will play host to the event from 6-9 p.m. on Feb. 16. There will be demonstrations and vendor exhibits by, among others, Curves, Le Petite Spa, Allison Stowell of Beyond Health, Hannafords, All-Out Fitness, Bonnie’s Herbals, Arbonne, Stella & Dot Jewelry and blood pressure screenings by Putnam Hospital Center.
Goody bags will be given out to all the attendees. Local business owners who would like to contribute samples for the goody bags can email info@professionalwomenofputnam.com.
A portion of the evenings proceeds will be donated to the American Heart Association along with 100 percent of raffle sales.
The cost to attend is $35 per person which includes dinner and dessert. There is a cash bar.
