Police Bust 11 for Fake IDs at Murphy’s
Yorktown Police charged 11 individuals, ages 18 to 20, with allegedly having forged drivers’ licenses during a compliance check July 18 at about midnight at Murphy’s restaurant in Yorktown.
The compliance check was part of an ongoing effort to curb underage drinking and was partially funded by the Yorktown Alliance for Safe Kids.
According to police, the 11 defendants were charged with the Class A misdemeanor of criminal possession of a forged instrument in the third degree for having phony licenses that indicated they were 21 years old. In addition, Lindsay Delfa, 19, of Purdys was charged with resisting arrest.
All the defendants were released to third parties and are scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court August 20.
