Croton-on-Hudson Police Department
Aug. 21: A caller from Black Rock Park reported at 6:34 p.m. that there was a naked man sitting in a chair. The complainant further stated that this was the third time she has seen the man. Patrol was dispatched and canvassed the park with negative results.
Aug. 23: A Morningside Drive resident stated at 6:39 a.m. that she had a verbal dispute with her neighbor because he knocked her garbage can over. Patrols were dispatched, interviewed both the caller and her neighbor and were able to mediate the situation. Patrols reported that the caller’s neighbor accidentally knocked garbage cans over with his car causing no damage. The caller wishes to have the incident documented.
Aug. 27: Patrol reported stopping a vehicle for violations on North Riverside Avenue at 8:32 a.m. There were two children in the vehicle at the time. The operator, a 30-year-old Middletown resident, was arrested for DWI under Leandra’s Law. He was processed, arraigned and released on his own recognizance.
Kent Police Department
Aug. 26: Patrols were dispatched to Dunwoodie Road at 3 p.m. a report of a physical dispute at 3 p.m. The responding officers observed two subjects in a verbal dispute in the roadway. After speaking with multiple subjects at the location, officers determined a 40-year-old Carmel man was the aggressor in the incident. The subject got into a physical dispute while trying to remove a dog from the property, after the dog bit another person. Watson was taken into custody and processed at Kent police headquarters for third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a minor.
Mount Pleasant Police Department
Aug. 27: At about 11:45 p.m., an unknown person forced open the rear door of the Morris Park Inn in the Rose Hill Shopping Center in Thornwood after the restaurant had closed. Once inside, the perpetrator removed two register cash boxes that held the weekend’s receipts. The burglar exited the same way and closed the rear door. The department’s Patrol and Detective Division responded and have initiated an investigation.
Sept. 3: A 23-year-old Queens man was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, a Class D felony, and fourth-degree grand larceny, a Class E felony. The suspect was held overnight and arraigned in Mount Pleasant Justice Court. He was released on his own recognizance on the morning of Sept. 4. He was directed to appear in town court on Sept. 14.
Sept. 3: Police received a report of a large house party in the Pleasantville section of town at 9:15 p.m. Upon arrival, patrol encountered more than 100 youths from 14 to 17 years old. Officers identified a strong smell of marijuana, and large quantities of empty alcoholic beverage containers were strewn about the rear yard. Many youths fled upon the arrival of police. Those that were contained were picked up by their parents. The 54-year-old homeowner, who was present, was charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child, a misdemeanor. The homeowner was released in his own recognizance.
New Castle Police Department
Aug. 27: Police responded to a Chappaqua residence on a report of a domestic dispute between a husband and wife. Officers arrived on the scene and arrested the husband who was charged with third-degree assault.
Aug. 27: Police responded to a local park on a report of a larceny from a vehicle. An unknown subject entered the vehicle and stole a purse, which contained various credit cards. The incident is being investigated by New Castle police detectives.
Aug. 27: Report of a custody dispute at the Chappaqua Metro-North station. Officers arrived on the scene and were able to mediate the situation. The incident was documented.
North Castle Police Department
Aug. 25: There was an alarm activation at Wampus Elementary School on Wampus Avenue at 1:22 a.m. An officer responded and reported that a female was on the scene who apparently entered the building through a window. The subject was arrested.
Aug. 25: Report of a customer having passed out at register 7 at the Stop & Shop on North Broadway at 2:09 p.m. Authorities notified 60 Control and Valhalla Ambulance and the North White Plains Fire Department responded. The responding officer reported that the party was transported to White Plains Hospital by Valhalla Ambulance.
Aug. 30: Multiple callers reported at 10:45 p.m. what appears to be construction debris on fire close to a residence on Chestnut Ridge Road. One of the callers stated she was the homeowner, who was advised to have everyone exit the residence and await fire department arrival. The initial 911 call was transferred to 60 Control. The responding officers reported that the fire was extinguished by the fire department with no damage to the home or property.
Pleasantville Police Department
Aug. 24: The manager of Prestige Imports on Pleasantville Road reported at 12:29 p.m. that a senior manager was pushed by a customer.
Aug. 24: A subject arrived at headquarters at 1:03 p.m. to report that 2.34 bitcoins, which was the equivalent of about $70,000, was stolen from his account. The theft took place online at about 3 a.m. local time, the complainant stated.
Aug. 28: Report of a male and a female fighting in the street on Meadow Lane at 7:12 p.m. The responding officer was able to defuse the situation.
Aug. 31: Report of a damaged mailbox on Foxwood Drive at 3:07 p.m. The Foxwood Condominium office reported that mailboxes had been pried open but no mail was taken.
Putnam County Sheriff’s Department
Aug. 19: A 39-year-old Peekskill man was pulled over on Peekskill Hollow Road at 10:20 p.m. in the Town of Putnam Valley after he was observed crossing the double yellow lines and traveling below the posted speed limit. The suspect was unable to complete the field sobriety tests and was arrested and charged with felony aggravated DWI under Leandra’s Law as he had, among his six passengers, three children under the age of 16. Other charges included operating a vehicle without an interlock device, a misdemeanor, and infractions for unlicensed operation, refusal to take a breath test and him and his passengers not wearing seat belts.
Aug. 20: Deputies responded to a vehicle that had struck a mailbox and fled the scene on Terry Hill Road in the Town of Kent at 8:20 p.m. Deputies were able to locate the vehicle in a driveway on Fair Street in the Town of Patterson. The operator, a 42-year-old Southeast man, was questioned and admitted to hitting the mailbox and leaving. He was also observed to show signs of intoxication and was arrested and charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, aggravated DWI and DWI for a previous conviction within 10 years, all felonies. He was also charged with circumventing an interlock device, a misdemeanor, and an infraction for leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
White Plains Police Department
Aug. 25: Sonia Pizarro was charged with second-degree assault in connection with an incident at CVS at 325 Mamaroneck Ave. at 4:24 p.m.
Aug. 29: Kendall Benton was charged with third degree assault following an incident at 25 N. Lexington Ave. at 10:46 a.m.
Aug. 31: Freddy Ambrocio was charged with first-degree rape at 1:47 a.m. following an incident at 77 S. Lexington Ave.
Yorktown Police Department
Aug. 21: Two subjects, a 33-year-old Staten Island man and a 29-year-old Brooklyn man, were charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and several counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument after being stopped on Route 6 at 5:30 p.m. for moving from a lane unsafely and almost sideswiping another vehicle. Both individuals were found to be in possession of forged Texas drivers licenses and a quantity of cocaine.
Aug. 24: Jerald Bray, 48, of Yonkers, was charged at 4:40 p.m. with second-degree robbery and fourth-degree grand larceny, both felonies, following a report of a larceny at Macy’s at the Jefferson Valley Mall. Four male suspects fled from the location on foot after stealing merchandise. With the assistance of the Yonkers Police Department, Bray was located while driving a vehicle and arrested. No other arrests were reported.
Aug. 31 Alexander Hoy, 34, of Albany, was charged with third-degree robbery, a Class D felony, after using physical force against a store employee at 12:14 p.m. He is accused of stealing several cases of Red Bull energy drinks at the Acme Supermarket in the Triangle Shopping Center.
