Greenburgh Police Department
Sept. 20: After a four-month investigation, members of the Greenburgh Police Department Detective Division SVU and GIU detectives, arrested Filormo Rolando Paucay-Zhingri, 26, of Ossining. Suspect was charged with Rape 1st degree of a juvenile. Suspect was arraigned by Greenburgh Town Court and remanded to Westchester County Jail. Assisting with the investigation was the Westchester County Forensic Laboratory and Westchester County District Attorney’s Special Prosecution Division.
Croton-on-Hudson Police Department
Sept. 15: 9:27 p.m. – Patrols located a large group of youths at Silver Lake Park after hours. More than 100 youths dispersed into the woods as patrols entered the park.
Sept. 16: 9:26 p.m. – A caller reported that his mother heard a loud bang on the front door of her residence on Oneida Avenue. Patrols responded and checked the area, but did not locate any suspicious activity.
Sept. 18: 6:30 a.m. – A caller reported that his vehicle, which was parked on High Street, was struck by an unknown vehicle. Patrols responded and filed a report.
8:22 a.m. – Patrols and Croton EMS responded to a residence on Bungalow Road for an unresponsive 16-year-old female. After being evaluated, the patient refused further medical attention.
New Castle Police Department
Sept. 17: The New Castle Police Department responded to a residence in Millwood on a report of a domestic incident between an estranged husband and wife. Officers arrived on scene and were able to diffuse the verbal argument. The incident was documented.
North Castle Police Department
Sept. 15: 2:31 p.m. – Suspicious incident. Caller on Evergreen Row reports when she arrived home her garage door was open and she doesn’t think she left it open when she left the house. Police responded. Interior of home checked okay.
Sept. 16: 1:52 p.m. – Walk-in complainant reports a suspicious incident involving an unknown party ringing her doorbell and stating he was scheduled to do work on her home when she never made such an appointment.
Sept. 17: 12:51 p.m. – Attempted larceny Old Orchard St. Caller reports his vehicle was rummaged through sometime overnight while parked in his driveway. No items were removed.
County Police/Mount Kisco
Sept. 18: A Bedford resident was charged at 3:28 p.m. with Driving While Intoxicated and Failure to Comply with a Police Officer at 3:28 a.m. on Brook Street. An officer initially attempted a traffic stop on South Bedford Road but the motorist would not pull over and proceeded to travel along East Main Street and East Hyatt Avenue before pulling into a driveway on Brook Street. The man was taken into custody and booked at the Green Street precinct. He is due in Mount Kisco justice Court on Sept. 28.
Sept. 18: The Hazardous Devices Unit, utilizing explosives detection canines, performed a precautionary security sweep at Bet Torah synagogue on Smith Street at 11:09 a.m. The sweep and others like it around the County was conducted after online threats were received by multiple Jewish houses of worship in Westchester and beyond.
Sept. 18: Officers responded to a business on North Bedford Road at 4:13 p.m. on a report of a verbal dispute between a fired employee and other staff members. The fired employee left the premises as officers were responding.
Sept. 19: Officers responded to an activated alarm at a bank on South Moger Avenue at 10:49 p.m. It was determined that the alarm was activated in error due to electrical work that was under way.
Sept. 21: Officers responded to the 300 block of East Main Street at 2:48 p.m. after a large tree branch fell into the roadway and blocked the lanes of travel. Mount Kisco DPW responded to cut up and remove the tree limb, which apparently came down after it was stuck by a passing truck.
Yorktown Police Department
Sept. 21: 2:08 a.m. – A 55-year-old Cortlandt man was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor, following an accident on Rt. 118 in the area of Birdsall Drive.
Sept. 22: 11:50 a.m. – A 53-year-old Lincolndale man was charged with Attempted Assault in the Third Degree, a misdemeanor, following a report of an assault on Strang Blvd. An investigation revealed a contractor at the construction site shoved another contractor off an unfinished deck, causing the victim to fall about four feet onto a pile of rubble, causing pain and swelling to the victim’s knee, wrist and face.
Sept. 22: 3:10 p.m. – A 53-year-old Yorktown man was charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, a misdemeanor, following a walk-in complaint of a domestic incident. It is alleged the man placed his hands around the victim’s neck, obstructing her normal breathing and causing a sore throat.
