Carmel Police Department

Sept. 27: Police received a report of a man brandishing a handgun in the vicinity of Kobu Restaurant at 903 S. Lake Blvd. at 9:02 p.m. Multiple officers responded to the scene and located a man holding a loaded .380-caliber pistol. A 33-year-old Mahopac man was arrested and charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, a Class D felony, second-degree menacing, a Class A misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a violation. An investigation determined the suspect was involved in a dispute with another male, became agitated and brandished the handgun. On video footage, detectives observed the suspect appearing to stagger down Route 6N, entering multiple businesses while still displaying the handgun, causing several panicked bystanders to flee for safety. It appears the suspect was authorized to carry the gun because he is an active state corrections officer, police said. No rounds were discharged from the weapon and there were no injuries. He is scheduled to appear in Carmel Town Court on Oct. 16.

New Castle Police Department

Sept. 25: Officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic incident between a mother and daughter. Officers arrived on the scene and were able to mediate the verbal dispute. The incident was documented.

Sept. 25: Officers responded to a residence on a report of a vehicle stolen from the driveway. Upon arrival, officers determined the vehicle had already been drive out of the area. While conducting a canvass, police discovered an individual who was operating a different stolen vehicle from North Carolina and was subsequently arrested. With the assistance of the Real Time Crime Center, the vehicle that was stolen from the New Castle residence was observed driving in the Bronx and the occupant was arrested by the NYPD. The stolen vehicle was returned to the New Castle resident.

North Castle Police Department

Sept. 22: A complainant reported at 11:34 a.m. observing several boxes of lottery tickets left on the right side of Thornewood Road. The responding officer confirmed the report. The scene was turned over to Bedford police for processing.

Sept. 23: Multiple callers in North White Plains reported at 12:28 p.m. that the tap water at their residences is brown. The North Castle Water Department was notified.

Sept. 24: An Upland Lane resident reported at 7:13 a.m. waking up and realizing her vehicle was missing from her driveway. She further stated that she left the keys in the vehicle the previous night when she got home. The caller also stated that she parked her vehicle at about 4:07 p.m. the previous day and could see from video surveillance that it was taken at 3:01 a.m. today. The responding officer confirmed the vehicle was taken, which was reflected on the homeowner’s video camera. An officer canvassed the immediate area. The Westchester Real Time Crime Center was notified of the incident and an alert was added for the vehicle.

Sept. 27: At 6:35 a.m., report of a larceny from a car owner’s vehicle while parked in front of his Emmalon Avenue residence.

Pleasantville Police Department

Sept. 22: A 30-year-old Pleasantville resident was arrested for driving with a suspended license after getting into an accident on Saratoga Avenue at 8:03 a.m.

Sept. 27: Report of an altercation between employees at a Bedford Road business at 8:59 a.m. The matter is under investigation.

Sept. 27: A village resident arrived at headquarters at 1:17 p.m.to report that money was missing from their bank account. The matter is under investigation.

White Plains Police Department

Sept. 24: Three males were charged with third-degree criminal mischief at 3:28 a.m. in connection with an incident at 3 Lyon Place.

Sept. 25: A male subject was arrested and charged at 10:10 a.m. with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property at 225 Martin Luther King Blvd.

Sept. 28: A male subject was arrested and charged at 10:21 p.m. with second-degree grand larceny in connection with an incident at 27 Mount Morris Ave.

Yorktown Police Department

Sept. 27: A 30-year-old Bronx woman was arrested and charged at 2:30 a.m. with aggravated DWI (first offense), an unclassified misdemeanor, following a call for aid involving a female who was unresponsive but breathing on East Main Street. An officer observed the woman located in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that had been involved in an accident and was off the road. An investigation revealed the driver was allegedly driving while intoxicated and possessed an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.

Sept. 27: A 55-year-old Bronx man was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor, and several traffic infractions after being pulled over on Route 6 for speeding and changing lanes unsafely at 11:18 p.m. An investigation revealed the man’s driving privilege in New York State was suspended.
