Putnam Sheriff Department

March 23, 12:30 p.m. – A former Brewster High School student was arrested making threats against a current student. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into threats made on social media targeting a juvenile student at the school. The suspect, who resides outside the county, was quickly identified, located, and issued an appearance ticket for Putnam County Family Court.

New Castle Police Department

March 20, 1 p.m. – Officers responded to a residence in Chappaqua for a verbal dispute between a husband and wife. The situation was mediated by officers on scene and the incident was documented.

March 21, A Chappaqua resident called to report damage to his garage that was caused by a delivery truck driver. The company agreed to repair the damage caused by the truck.

March 22, 10 p.m. – A police officer observed a small fire on the grass area of Amsterdam Park. A Yonkers man was arrested for starting the fire and damaging public property. The defendant was released on an appearance ticket and is due back in New Castle Town Court in April.

March 23, 1:48 a.m. – Police received a telephone call in regard to an idling truck near a local super market. An officer responded and spoke to the driver of the truck who reported he would turn off the truck while completing the delivery.

North Castle Police Department

March 17, 11:14 a.m. – Police received a 911 call from CVS Pharmacy Dept. on Main St. regarding a series of prescription frauds that had taken place.

March 18, 2:46 p.m. – Complainant walked into headquarters and reported she worked at a salon on Main St. and had been advised by a co-worker that the co-worker’s ex-boyfriend, who had active warrants, told her he was going to the salon and “today is going to be the day that he stabs her.” The ex-boyfriend was in the area of the business. Officers responded and took the male subject into custody.

Kent Police Department

March 17, 10:24 p.m. – Patrol responded to Tonianne Dr. on a report of a vehicle that crashed into a dumpster. Upon arrival, officers observed a gray Honda Accord had crashed into a dumpster container. Erika Rizzotto, 46, of Kent, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a field sobriety test.

Yorktown Police Department

 March 10, 9:27 a.m. – A 45-year-old Yonkers female was charged with driving with a suspended license and registration after an officer observed a vehicle traveling west on Rt. 6 with unlawfully tinted front side windows.

March 20, 6:44 p.m. – A 46-year-old Yorktown man was charged with Attempted Assault in the Third Degree, a Class B misdemeanor, following a report of a domestic incident at a Yorktown residence. An investigation revealed he punched the victim in the head and neck with a closed fist several times. A temporary order of protection was issued.

Croton-on-Hudson Police Department

March 17, 10:20 a.m. – A caller from a business on South Riverside Ave. reported an unknown male contacted the business requesting medication with codeine in it. The request was denied, and the male became irate and made threatening statements. Patrols attempted to contact the male with negative results.

March 19, 4:43 a.m. – Ossining Police requested assistance with a large fight in progress involving approximately 15 people. Patrols responded and assisted until the scene was secured.

March 20, 4:56 p.m. – A resident arrived at police headquarters to report that he was the victim of identity theft. Patrols filed a report. Investigation to follow.

Carmel Police Department

March 20, While on patrol in the evening hours, a police officer observed a suspicious vehicle idling on the shoulder of Rt. 301, adjacent to other unoccupied vehicles. After returning to the area a short time later, the officer observed the same idling vehicle in a different location. When the officer turned around to investigate, the vehicle abruptly left the area. A subsequent traffic stop revealed the Queens resident was driving with a suspended driver’s license.

March 22, 4:49 p.m. – Officers responded to a local business in Carmel for a trespass complaint. The business owner told police the male subject had previously been issued a trespass warning  and had unlawfully entered the establishment. An investigation at the scene led officers to a local residence where a Carmel resident was charged with trespass.

Mount Kisco Police Department

March 22, 4:22 a.m. – Officers responded to North Bedford Rd. on a report that a man was standing in the middle of the street and screaming. Upon arrival, the man told officers he was experiencing severe stomach pain. He also alleged that he had been harassed by a motorist at a nearby gas station. While at the scene, officers were advised that the man had been banging on doors inside an apartment building on Barker St. a short time earlier. He was transported by ambulance to Northern Westchester Hospital Center for a physical and mental health evaluation.

March 23, A 29-year-old Barker St. resident was charged with Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, a felony, after he damaged a wall, a television set and other personal property during a domestic dispute that began about 9 p.m.  A female resident of the apartment told officers that the man had begun throwing items around the apartment during a heated argument and she locked herself in the bathroom and called police. The woman said the man had not assaulted her or thrown any items at her,  but she was concerned for her safety. The man was booked at the Green Street Precinct and arraigned in Mount Kisco Justice Court.
