County Police/Mount Kisco

Jan. 7: A 61-year-old woman was charged at 3:52 p.m. with DWI, a misdemeanor, after she backed into a parked car in a lot on Park Drive. The woman was booked at the Green Street precinct and released pending a Jan. 18 appearance in Mount Kisco Justice Court.

Jan. 7: A 49-year-old man was arrested at 1:15 a.m. after officers responded to a domestic dispute at his residence on North Moger Avenue. The man, who is accused of striking a teenager with a belt several times, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree assault and second-degree harassment, all misdemeanors. He was booked at the Green Street precinct and held overnight for arraignment. Westchester County Child Protectives Services was notified.

Jan. 8: A New Castle Drive resident reported a possible fraud attempt at her home at 8:32 a.m. The resident said a man came to her door and attempted to get her to turn over the title to her automobile. She refused and he left the scene. An investigation is continuing.

Jan. 9: A report was received at 7:21 p.m. that a parked car was damaged by a hit-and-run driver in a parking lot in the 200 block of East Main Street. Security video was obtained of a pickup truck backing into the parked car, causing damage to its front bumper. An accident report was prepared and the matter remains under investigation.

Jan. 10: Request to assist parking enforcement personnel at 8:11 a.m. with a report of a possibly abandoned pickup truck that has been parked and not moved for two weeks on Gatto Drive. The vehicle had no plates and was towed.

Jan. 12: A 38-year-old man was charged at 12:51 a.m. with DWI, a misdemeanor, following a traffic stop on Kisco Avenue. He is due to answer the charge on Jan. 18 in Mount Kisco Justice Court. He was also issued summonses for speeding and not wearing a seat belt.

New Castle Police Department

Jan. 9: Officers responded to a Chappaqua residence after the homeowner observed two males on his ring camera attempting to get into his vehicle. The two suspects fled in an unknown vehicle prior to officers arriving on the scene.

Jan. 9: An Ossining man was arrested for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation after a motor vehicle accident involving a fire hydrant on Quaker Road.

North Castle Police Department

Jan. 8: Report of a homeless individual sleeping inside the Stop & Shop on North Broadway at 5:17 a.m. The caller requested to have this individual leave. The responding officer spoke to the party who left the store without incident.

Jan. 8: A party called headquarters at 12:37 p.m. saying he would bring in a black bifold leather wallet that he had found on Old Route 22. The wallet contained two credit cards. The property was placed in a temporary evidence locker.

Jan. 9: Report of a grand larceny on Bedford Banksville Road at 12:57 p.m. A call was received reporting a suspicious incident in which valuables were missing from her residence. The responding officer reported that the information was gathered and depositions were secured. A report will follow.

Pleasantville Police Department

Jan. 9: A Hobby Street residents reported at 12:10 p.m. that they have been receiving harassing phone calls.

Yorktown Police Department

Jan. 11: A 34-year-old Lewisboro man was charged at 5:25 p.m. with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, both felonies, in connection with an overdose death at a Baldwin Road residence on Oct. 23, 2023. The defendant was located outside of his residence and taken into custody following an investigation where it is alleged that he sold a quantity of fentanyl to the victim that allegedly resulted in the victim’s death. The defendant was remanded to Westchester County Jail after being unable to post bail.
