County Police/Mount Kisco
Aug. 6: Report received of an unattended dog tied to a car door handle on Kisco Avenue. Upon arrival, an officer determined that the dog’s owner was present. The woman stated she had tied the dog’s leash to the door handle so it could get some fresh air while she was waiting in the car to pick up a friend.
Aug. 6: Officers responded to an activated burglar alarm at a residence on Carlton Way. The premises were found to be secure. The alarm system had apparently malfunctioned.
Aug. 7: Request received to conduct a welfare check of a resident of Parkview Place who was experiencing abdominal pain. The resident declined an ambulance but agreed to allow a relative who had arrived to drive him to the hospital.
Aug. 8: The owner of a business on Main Street reported that the premises had been burglarized overnight. Some cash and a leather purse were stolen. A review of security video revealed that a person had entered the premises at 2:52 a.m., mostly likely through a skylight. Detectives responded to process the scene and take over the investigation.
Aug. 9: A 34-year-old Town of Mamaroneck man was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd Degree, misdemeanors, following a traffic stop on South Bedford Road. The man was also issued summonses for having a loud muffler, an inadequate taillight and an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.
North Castle Police Department
Aug. 2: Caller from 780 North Broadway reports a vehicle backed into one of his gas pumps.
Aug. 2: Caller reports she was observing cameras depicting the inside of her office at 200 Business Park Drive when she saw the cleaning person search her drawers and take something off the desk and place it in his right pocket. Officers responded and reported a male subject was located and escorted from the business.
Aug. 3: Caller from 9 Wrights Mill Road reported her fire alarm is going off and she believes a tree fell and struck the house. Officer responded no tree found. Lightning had struck close to the house and possibly hit the generator to the residence.
Aug. 5: Caller from 1503 Old Orchard Street reports there are trespassers at the lake on her property. Group was located and instructed to leave.
Aug. 5: Caller from 34 McDougal Drive reports items were stolen from her vehicle overnight.
Aug. 5: Calle from 113 Nethermont Avenue states someone entered her property and caused damage to her plants and trees.
Yorktown Police Department
Aug. 2: A 27-year-old Yorktown man was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs with One Prior Conviction and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the First Degree, both Class E felonies, following a one-car accident in the parking lot of the Shell gas station on East Main Street. A DMV check of the man’s license showed it was allegedly revoked.
Aug. 4: A 36-year-old Lake Peekskill man was charged with Criminal Contempt in the First Degree, a Class E felony, after officers responded to a request for a welfare check and observed a male in the presence of a female who was in violation of a Cortlandt Town Court order of protection restricting him from being the presence of the female. A new temporary order of protection was issued.
Aug. 5: A 31-year-old Clarkstown female was charged with Driving While Intoxicated First Offense, an unclassified misdemeanor, and speeding following a report of a one-car accident on Kitchawan Road and Route 134.
