Police Arrest Thornwood Man on Drug Charges
A Thornwood man was arrested Friday morning on multiple drug charges following a four-month investigation by Westchester County and Mount Pleasant police into heroin sales occurring from the man’s home.
William Stivaletti, 37, of High Acres Drive was arrested at his home at 11:15 a.m. by officers from the county police narcotics unit and the Mount Pleasant Police Department. He was charged with four felony counts each of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Stivaletti is accused of making sales of heroin to undercover officers from his home on four separate occasions, Public Safety Commissioner George N. Longworth said.
He was booked at county police headquarters in Hawthorne and was awaiting arraignment Friday afternoon in Mount Pleasant Town Court.
Stivaletti’s arrest is the second in recent months to result from joint Westchester County-Mount Pleasant police narcotics investigations. In October, Mount Pleasant police arrested a Chappaqua man who was selling heroin in Mount Pleasant. A significant quantity of heroin and other drugs was subsequently recovered from the man’s residence.
