Pleasantville PBA Toy Drive Taking Place Through Dec. 14
The Pleasantville Police Benevolent Association in conjunction with the Briarcliff Manor Police Benevolent Association is hosting a toy drive to benefit hospitalized children and their families at the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital.
Toy donations will be accepted until Saturday, Dec. 14 at the Pleasantville Police Department located at 80 Wheeler Ave. in the village. Members of the public can drop off items and place them in the collection box in the police department waiting area.
Donations should consist of brand new unwrapped non-denominational toys. For infection control and safety reasons, toys that represent violence, are made of glass, wood or brittle plastic or latex balloons cannot be accepted. Only brand new toys will be accepted. This includes stuffed animals that have not been played with but have been displayed on shelves at home.
Also, the public should not wrap gifts as it makes it easier for staff to personalize each child’s gift box. However, long rolls of wrapping paper will be accepted.
Gifts will be accepted for newborns, infants and toddlers, pre-school and school age children and adolescents.
