Pleasantville Mayor Urges Residents to Stay Home After Storm
An e-mail was just sent out by Pleasantville Mayor Peter Scherer after Pleasantville suffered damage from a rainstorm on Sunday morning. It reads:
As those of you who are home already know, an intense (but brief) storm passed through P’ville about 45 minutes ago.
There are limbs and branches down in many areas of the Village, and a number of big trees have come down and damaged homes and property. There are road closings, live wires down, and “at risk” limbs and utilities in quite a few locations around the Village.
The Pville Fire Department and Police have been working hard from the moment the storm hit, and Public Works crews are already on site…with more people on the way.
The best advice for the moment is to stay home while we assess the damage and clear dangerous conditions.
Thanks-
Peter
