PHOTOS: Special Olympics Walk at FDR Park

Hundreds of children and families took to Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park Sunday for the 2012 Vincent Miritello Special Olympics NY Miles for Medals Walk.
A pint-sized band performed classics like “Sweet Child of Mine” and “Get Back,” and participants had the opportunity to enjoy a picnic after a leisurely two-mile walk around the state park.
The walk helps benefits the more than 3,500 Special Olympics athletes who live in the Hudson Valley region.
