Patterson Man Accused Of Trafficking Narcotics
Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reported the arrest of an 18 year-old Patterson resident on criminal charges stemming from his alleged possession and distribution of narcotics in the Putnam Lake section of the town.
In late 2011, an undercover member of the Sheriff’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit developed information that Dylan F. Moore of Haviland Drive, was unlawfully selling prescription pain medication to others. The undercover deputy initiated an investigation into the enterprise and as a result was able to infiltrate Moore’s operation and purchase a number of Roxicodone pills and powdered cocaine on occasions between 2011 and February of this year.
On May 10, 2012, members of the Narcotics Enforcement Unit located Moore while he was at Patterson Justice Court on an unrelated matter. He was taken into custody and charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third-degree and three counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree – each count being a class “B” felony.
Moore was arraigned before Patterson Town Justice Anthony Mole and remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 bail. He is scheduled to return to court on June 14, 2012.
If convicted of any count of the criminal charges he is facing, Moore may be sentenced for up to nine years in a New York State correctional facility as determine by a court.
