Pace Hosting Roundtable on College Affordability

We are part of The Trust Project

Pace is hosting a roundtable discussion this week on college affordability and accessibility, featuring Democratic Congresswoman Nita Lowey and the university’s president,  Marvin Krislov.

Congress is currently considering the Promoting Real Opportunity, Success and Prosperity Through Education Reform Act, also known as PROSPER, to reauthorize the Higher Education Act. Speakers at the event will address what the act means for current and future college students and their parents.

The hourlong event is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. this Thursday, Aug. 30, at Pace University’s Pleasantville campus, at the Goldstein Academic Center, Room 100, campus entrance three.

“The impact of the bill and what families in Westchester, Rockland, and the surrounding area need to know will be discussed,” a press release stated.

In addition to Lowey and Krislov, the roundtable will also include Dr. Belinda Miles, the president of Westchester Community College, and financial aid and enrollment administrators from Westchester Community College, Dominican College, Purchase College, Manhattanville College and Mercy College, as well as college students impacted by the legislation.
