Ossining Village Fair Expected to Draw Thousands
The Greater Ossining Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual Village Fair today until 5 p.m.
The event is expected to draw more than 15,000 visitors.
At the Opening Ceremony, which took place at the Market Square Stage, the Elks Club performed the Flag Ceremony and the National Anthem was sung by Ossining’s own Mykaela Copeland.
“The fair is on and we have over 154 vendors.” stated Gayle Marchica, the fair’s coordinator and president of The Greater Ossining Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to the wonderful craft vendors and professional services booths, the fair will have food, rides for the children, a balloon artist, magic show and amazing entertainment including demonstrations by UMAC Martial Arts, Logrea Dance Academy, Claremont School Chorus, Brieant Center Youth Ensemble and Ossining High School-Gimme the Mic.
This year’s event will include 4 stages with 5 DJs and music artists including Johnny G, OJH Productions, Joe Gibbs, Dennis Winge and Magical Memories. Live entertainment will range from smooth jazz to rock performances by Franklin Jackson Jr., Left in the Attic, Dead Weight Burden, Sanskrit Jazz and the Dennis Winge Trio. Also, let’s not forget “An Elvis Tribute” by Pat Perone.
The National Weather Service calls for the weather to be cloudy with a chance of rain in the afternoon with a high of 69 degrees.
