Northbound Route 9A to Be Closed for Paving in Mt. Pleasant

We are part of The Trust Project

The state Department of Transportation has advised motorists that the northbound lanes of Route 9A will be closed under the Route 100C Bridge in on Thursday and Friday while crews perform pavement repairs. The closure was originally scheduled for Monday and Tuesday.

During the closure, northbound traffic on Route 9A will be detoured onto the ramp to Route 100C, and back onto Route 9A using the ramp on the other side.

Southbound Route 9A traffic will be maintained, but with lane shifts at times.

It is important that motorists drive carefully through the many highway and bridge construction zones they will encounter this season.

Drivers are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
