National Mom’s Night Out at Jefferson Valley Mall, Thursday, May 9
It’s high time for moms to be pampered. On May 9, 5 to 8 p.m. Jefferson Valley Mall is the place to be as Simon Property Group provides a free evening of relaxation and fun in honor of national Mom’s Nite Out.
The presenting sponsor of Simon’s Mom’s Nite Out celebration this year is Rethink Varicose Veins.
The featured nonprofit will be The Putnam/Northern Westchester Women’s Resource Center. They will be doing a “Message to Your Favorite Woman” for donations. Write a message and place it on the tribute window in honor of your mom/favorite woman. All donations will benefit the Putnam/Northern Westchester Women’s Resource Center.
For Jefferson Valley Mall attendees the evening will be filled with refreshments, entertainment, fashion and beauty services, all focused on rewarding Moms.
They can try complimentary food samples from Arturo’s Tavern; delicious desserts from G & K Sweet Foods, whose owners recently were featured on NBC’s Today show, and The Flour Girls; healthy chocolate from Xoçai; and more treats and sweets.
Club Fit will be on hand with information, and instructors from New York Sports Club will present a fitness demonstration. Fashion shows will spotlight the latest spring looks from Sears and Call it Spring. Additionally, moms can enjoy a free massage courtesy of Tao Way, receive a mini-makeover provided by Clinique beauty advisors from Macy’s and discuss beauty tips with a Sears makeup consultant.
Yorktown Love In Action is also a featured exhibitor.
The first 100 attendees to register at the event will receive a goody bag filled with makeup samples, special offers and even a free week’s guest pass to Club Fit. They also can enter to win jewelry from Jewelry Center, gift cards from FYE, Payless ShoeSource and Shoe Dept. Encore, wine glasses, gift baskets, lots of other great prizes and much more.
The Rethink Varicose Veins team will be on hand to dispel the myths about varicose veins and encourage attendees to take a quick self-assessment to determine their risk for varicose veins and chronic venous insufficiency (CVI). Taking the self-assessment will automatically enter attendees for an opportunity to win a spa getaway weekend at the Miraval Arizona Resort & Spa, Nov. 14 to17, 2013. Jumpin’ Jeepers in Mahopac will be open until 8:30 p.m. and is offering half off admission from 5 to 8:30 p.m. so Dads can take the kids and Mom can be free to enjoy.
National Mom’s Nite Out is timed just before the official Mother’s Day holiday for a reason. Maria Bailey, author of four books, including her latest “Power Moms,” host of Mom Talk Radio, founder of BlueSuitMom.com and co-founder of MomTV.com, organized the first National Mom’s Nite Out as, for years, she watched moms take care of everyone else on Mother’s Day but never themselves. These events give moms the excuse to take the night off and to celebrate motherhood, without the kids.
