Mohegan Tanning Salon Owner Charged with Selling Cocaine
A Cortlandt man and owner of a Mohegan Lake tanning salon was charged last week by State Police with selling cocaine following a six-month investigation.
On June 27, police and members of the Westchester District Attorney’s Office executed search warrants at the Durrin Drive home of Antonio Sabater, 30, and his business, Tropical Fantasy Tanning Salon, at 1887 East Main Street in Mohegan Lake.
The investigation, which also included Harrison Police, revealed Sabater was a significant cocaine distributor in the northern Westchester area, dealing from his home, business and vehicle.
Sabater was charged with multiple counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in third degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in third degree, all Class B felonies. Charges were filed in the Town of Cortlandt and the Town of Yorktown.
Sabater was arraigned in Cortlandt Town Court and remanded to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
