Life Time Athletic Chappaqua Names General Manager
When Life Time Athletic Chappaqua opens later this fall, Mamaroneck resident and newly-named General Manager Michael Spiegel will be greeting members as they begin their healthy way of life experience.
Spiegel and his team of nearly 200 staff members will deliver the full suite of Life Time programming and services at the soon-to-open center, located at Chappaqua Crossing, 480 Bedford Rd. in Chappaqua.
Spiegel joins Life Time with an extensive background in personal training, fitness management, sales and regional leadership. In his last position as the East Coast Regional Director of Fitness for CRUNCH, Spiegel oversaw 30 clubs from Buffalo to Miami, where he was responsible for driving fitness and nutrition revenues, overseeing the regional PT recruiting division and creating a continuing-education curriculum for a team of more than 500 trainers. Spiegel had joined CRUNCH in June 2008 as an entry-level trainer and consistently climbed the ranks to become one of the company’s top performers. In 2015, he won the District Fitness Manager of the Year award for having the company’s top performing district.
Among other accolades, he also won the National Academy of Sports Medicine’s Pursuit of Excellence Award in 2010, which provided a full-tuition scholarship for his Masters in exercise science and health promotion. The same year, Spiegel won the New York Daily News Golden Gloves Championship in the light heavyweight division, knocking out his opponent in the finals at Madison Square Garden.
Spiegel and his wife, Stephanie, are proud parents of their 2-year-old son, Zachary.

Once open, the 42,000-square-foot Life Time Athletic Chappaqua will offer a highly personalized approach to health and wellness with a host of amenities on two floors. These include exclusive signature group fitness, barre, yoga and cycle classes, Pilates, state-of-the-art equipment and machines, a vast array of personal training and nutrition services and cutting-edge health and fitness assessments. There will also be a Kids Academy for children of all ages with programs and activities such as music, reading, foreign language, homework help, martial arts, yoga and dance.
LifeCafe, a healthy, fast-casual restaurant, and LifeSpa, a full-service, luxury salon and spa offering hair, skin, nail and massages services, will also be offered.
