Juneteenth Awards Gala Thursday
The White Plains Juneteenth Heritage Committee will hold its first Juneteenth Awards Gala honoring Mack L. Carter, Earl Graves Sr., former White Plains Mayor Joseph Delfino, and the Westchester Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. The Gala will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Tarrytown on June 6, 2013 starting at 6 p.m. “Drums of Freedom-Always Faithful” is the 2013 theme, illustrating the collective, soulful beat of freedom sounding in hearts and minds, proving always faithful.
