Jeanne Louise O’Reilly (nee MacDonald), born Sept. 19, 1941, in the Bronx, passed away on June 18 at the age of 81.
She attended Saint Barnabas High School in the Bronx and graduated in 1959. Jeanne married the love of her life, Joseph O’Reilly, in 1961 and moved to Pleasantville in 1966. The two were inseparable for over 55 years of marriage until Joe’s death in 2016. Over the course of their marriage, Jeanne and Joe raised four wonderful children. Jeanne was the proud mother of George (Edie), Jennine, Sean and Kristin, and “Nana” to seven grandchildren, Joseph Conway, Daniel, Alex and Julia O’Reilly and Mars, Geoffrey and Ryan Porteus.
Jeanne had a love for family, vacationing at the Jersey Shore, playing cards, cooking and baking. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Visitation was at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home in Pleasantville on June 21. A Mass of Christian Burial was on June 22 at Holy Innocents Church in Pleasantville.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the American Diabetes Association.
