Hen Hud Students Visit ‘The People’s Court’
Business Law students from Hendrick Hudson High School got a first-hand look at the law in action when they traveled on Wednesday to Stamford, Conn. to see a taping of the reality court television program “The People’s Court.”
Accompanied by teachers Maura Koch, Gloria Flick and Sharon Vigliotti, the students sat as court observers and became part of the set as cameras filmed the litigants in the real civil cases and panned the audience.
Judgments rendered on the cases by Judge Marian Milian are binding and the episodes will be shown on television in the spring of 2015. The trip has become an annual tradition at Hendrick Hudson and the students had a chance to meet and pose for photos with Milian.
