Habitat for Humanity Building House in Putnam Lake
The walls went up Saturday on what will soon be the new home for a local family, as Habitat for Humanity of Putnam County took a step towards completing its second house in Putnam.
The two-bedroom house, located on Kendal Drive in Putnam Lake, is expected to be completed by mid-summer.
On Saturday, dozens of volunteers were out at the site, which less than a year ago had contained an old, inhospitable house that had to be deconstructed.
