Grand Opening for Yorktown Farmers Market Set for May 19
The Yorktown Farmers’ Market will have its grand opening this Saturday, May 19. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9 a.m., entertainment by the Teen Center and giveaways for shoppers. Featuring 20 vendors selling produce, meat, breads and sweet baked goods, cheese, pickles, honey, spices, pasta, flowers and herbs, soaps and green cleaning products, there will truly be something for everyone.
The featured Charitable Organization of the Week (COW) will be The Harrison Apar Field of Dreams Foundation.
The market will be held on the field behind Yorktown Heights Engine Co #1, with the entrance on Veterans Road next to Yorktown Animal Hospital.
