I am writing to endorse the Village Inclusive Party (VIP) candidate in this year’s race for village trustee in Mount Kisco. I would like to especially endorse my good friend and fellow firefighter Braille Diaz.
As a 75-year veteran of the Mount Kisco Fire Department and ex-chief of the Mount Kisco Rescue Fire Police, I know good leadership when I see it. I have watched Braille as he passionately serves our community not only as one of the most active volunteers in the fire department, but also as a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Mount Kisco Lions Club and as a teacher at the local CCD program.
When Braille joined the fire department, he observed that there was a shortage of volunteers, and within a year he took prompt action and recruited several young men into the department. For this, and Braille’s exceptional volunteerism, he was awarded the Rising Star Award by the Mount Kisco Fire Department’s Chiefs Review Board.
Braille has shown that he is willing to get his feet dirty by walking the trails, speaking to the homeless and knocking on doors to meet residents. Braille’s passion for our community topped with his intelligence and willingness to serve makes him a perfect candidate for Mount Kisco Village trustee. I encourage all voting residents in Mount Kisco to vote VIP this November. Vote for Braille Diaz.
