County Police, Mount Kisco to Host Cops & Cones on Thursday
Westchester County police will resume hosting a fun-filled Cops & Cones on Thursday in downtown Mount Kisco.
The event is scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m. in the South Moger municipal parking lot. Free ice cream, food, music, raffles and inflatable amusements will be available, and a variety of Westchester County police equipment, including the department’s helicopter, motorcycles and specialized vehicles, will be on display.
Last year’s Cops & Cones had to be canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We are thrilled to be able to hold Cops & Cones again,” said Public Safety Commissioner Thomas A. Gleason. “We invite the community to come out to meet our officers and have some fun at the same time. Our department is privileged to provide police services to Mount Kisco, and hosting Cops & Cones is one way we can give back to the community.”
Gleason thanked village officials and the Mount Kisco Highway Department for their assistance in planning and holding the event.
“Building and strengthening connections between residents and police is the heart of effective community policing,” Mayor Gina Picinich said. “We value our partnership with the Westchester County police and appreciate their facilitating Cops & Cones, which provides a fun environment to further these important relationships.”
Cops & Cones was made possible by the generosity of multiple sponsors, including the Westchester County Police PBA and a host of local businesses.
