A good massage is always welcome to reduce the stress of today’s hectic life. Massage Envy, part of a national franchise of day spas offering customized massage therapy and facials, does just that at an affordable price.

“We were very impressed with the Massage Envy operation,” said Kamil Samra, who also owns and operates another location in Rye Brook. “Everything is very well structured, and we were impressed with the growth of the business.”
Its convenient offerings and affordable prices have contributed to the growth of the company nationwide. Patrons are offered superior massage therapy services that can improve their health and well-being.
Customers can choose from the relaxation massage, which provides light to medium pressure, and promotes circulation and lymph movement. There are deep-muscle, hot-stone, prenatal and sports massages. An aromatherapy massage uses essential oils extracted from herbs, flowers and fruits to naturally enhance one’s well-being.
Massage therapists at the 3,200-square-foot facility are all New York State licensed. Once hired, they are trained in the spa’s strict protocols. All massages are delivered in peaceful surroundings and on massage tables that are draped with crisp white sheets and warming blankets.
“The modesty of all our clients is respected,” said Samra, who owned two Party City stores in New Jersey with his wife before transitioning to the health-and-wellness business.
Depending upon the customer’s request, a therapist can deliver a customized full-body massage suitable for general relaxation and stress reduction, or instead focus on a particular part of the body. Therapists use high-quality hypoallergenic massage creams and lotions.
Despite its name, Massage Envy is not all about massages. The spa partners with dermatologist and skincare expert Howard Murad, using all of his products as part of its healthy skin facial treatment.
The spa offers four signature facials, including the sensitive skin facial, which targets persistent redness and dry, tight skin; the anti-aging facial that treats visible signs of aging using Murad’s Durian Cell Reform system; the environmental shield vitamin C treatment; and the clarifying enzyme acne facial.
The company works closely with the Arthritis Foundation, sharing a common understanding of the devastating effects of arthritis on the body and the calming effect that massages can have. Every year it collaborates with the foundation to sponsor its annual walk and to host “Healing Hands for Arthritis,” a one-day, in-clinic nationwide event.
New customers can avail themselves of an introductory one-hour massage for $59 or an introductory one-hour healthy skin facial for $69. After experiencing the introductory services, prospective customers have the option of joining for a low monthly rate of $69.
Known as a “personal wellness plan,” a Massage Envy membership includes a customized one-hour massage session every month or a Murad healthy skin facial for $10 more. There is the option of as many additional one-hour massage sessions as desired in a month for $59 an hour or additional healthy skin facial sessions throughout the month for $69 per hour. There are also family add-on specials and guest privileges, the opportunity to split and share memberships, discounts on select retail products and access to over 850 locations nationwide.
