Business Profile Ceola Manor, Jefferson Valley
Lou Sinapi has a message for local residents: Ceola Manor in JeffersonValley is alive and well
Sinapi, who lives in Hopewell Junction, said last week because of the recent closing of OsceolaBeach and another business in the area, some residents had the mistaken notion that Ceola Manor was also out of business. When the beach went out of business, “A lot of people assumed it was us,” he said, adding another commercial building in the area closed.
“A lot of people thought we were closed and out of business, but we’re not,” Sinapi stressed.
Ceola Manor has been owned by the Sinapi family since 1995. Sinapi was the original manager in 1995, but left after a few years to start a catering hall in Hopewell Junction. He came back to his former job a few years later.
The facility will host an open house in September on a date to be determined.
Ceola Manor caters a variety of events, including wedding receptions, birthday parties, wedding anniversaries, bar mitzvahs, banquets and other celebrations, Sinapi said. Wedding ceremonies are also performed at the facility.
“We have an outdoor area where we can do a lakeside ceremony and a cocktail hour right on the water,” Sinapi said. “We have a ballroom upstairs that holds up to 225 guests and then we have a small party room (for about 100 guests).”
The busiest periods of the year for Ceola Manor are the months of April, May June, September and October because of the multiple weddings and bar mitzvah parties that are held. “That’s our prime season. Those are our busiest months,” Sinapi said.
Ceola Manor provides a series of services. “We do all the cooking and everything on site,” Sinapi said. “Generally, when you plan, you plan the entire menu here.”
Sinapi takes pride in the food served at Ceola Manor. “We’re known for quality,” he said. “We don’t skimp on anything.”
Though Ceola Manor specializes in serving Italian food, “We can design any type of menu that you’re looking for,” Sinapi noted.
Both banquet rooms feature dance floors and his customers are responsible for arranging for music, Sinapi said.
“We’re not a huge place, so you don’t get lost here,” Sinapi said. “We give you more of a professional touch. That’s what people like about us a lot.”
His family decided to open Ceola Manor on East Main Street because of its location near the LakeOsceola waterfront, Sinapi said. One of the highlights of events hosted by Ceola Manor is the cocktail hours which are held at the waterside, Sinapi said. “That’s what sets us aside from everyone else,” he said.
Ceola Manor offers a variety of food options for cocktail hour, such as carving, fajita, seafood and pasta stations, as well as served appetizers.
“The key here to what we do is we really give a personal touch. We treat everyone like family,” Sinapi said. “We really take pride in what we do.”
