Brewster Trustees Okay Commercial Property Rezoning
A proposal to construct a four-story medical professional office building received a major boost in Brewster last week.
B.O.S. Land Development Corp. is proposing to build on about five acres of the property located at 61 Allvoiew Ave. The developer is seeking to connect the 64 square foot building to the Brewster water and sewer systems.
On Dec. 17 the village board of trustees voted unanimously to rezone the 16-acre site, which it previously annexed from the Town of Southeast, from R-160 residential zone to a B-1 commercial zone
The parcel is located next to the Southeast town highway garage.
Following last week’s meeting Mayor James Schoenig said once the developer has tenants for its building it will go before the planning board to seek their approval for the project.
