Ball to Chair Senate Committee
Senator Greg Ball (R-40) has been selected to chair the Veterans, Homeland Security, and Military Affairs Committee: the same committee his Republican predecessor, Vincent Leibell, had chaired from 2007 to last year.
“As a former Air Force Captain and Air Force Academy graduate, it is an overwhelming honor to be the new chairman of the Senate Committee on Veterans, Homeland Security, and Military Affairs,” Ball said in a press release. “My work starts immediately to do everything I can for our veterans and to protect our citizens.”
Ball said his priorities will be preserving the Campus of the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Veterans Hospital and securing the communities, water supply, and transportation corridors of New York.
