Thankfully, Westchester is full of ways you can celebrate without needing a pot of gold. Here’s where your tastebuds and tummy can score some luck of the Irish.
Pints of Guinness at Rory Dolan’s
One of the most exciting parts of St. Patrick’s Day is the parade that marches down the city’s main street, celebrating Ireland’s traditions and culture. At Rory Dolan’s, you’ll be able to drink a perfect pour pint of Guinness while the Yonkers St. Patrick’s Day Parade strolls along McLean Avenue, giving you a great view with great company.
The parade takes place on Saturday, March 19th, so it gives you an excuse to celebrate the holiday all weekend long.

The Blazer Pub
This comfortable pub will make you feel as if you’re dining in the Irish countryside as photos of Blarney Castle are placed throughout its booths and tables. They even got their name from a term coined in western Ireland in the late 1800s, by a group of fox hunters and their hounds.
After a day’s work, the hunters would gather in a temporary hut or shack to celebrate their hard-earned bounty and would set fire to the hut and watch while it blazed and burned down, thus enjoying the glow of the Galway “Blazer.”
If the cool name hasn’t grasped your attention yet, the pub also features a sports bar, where aside from eating and drinking, guests can jam out with their karaoke sessions. Fill yourself up with a corned beef Reuben before dancing to the sounds of the DJ.

O’Connor’s Public House
If you want authenticity, look no further. A family-run pub, the O’Connor brothers have made sure to bring a touch of Ireland into America and even have a sister pub in Blarney Co. Cork.
They boast a choice of 13 draft beers (Guinness included, of course) and nightly cocktail specials. The pub comes with a big screen to watch games as well as TVs sported around the sports bar.
As far as Irish classics go, you can find Galway Bay fish and chips, a traditional bowl of Irish beef stew, and Nelly O’s shepherd’s pie (above).
