Trump’s Deportation Plans Highly Unlikely to Hurt Mount Kisco

I am writing in reply to a letter written by Robert Liebman of Mount Kisco in the Oct. 8-14 issue titled “Trump’s Threatened Mass Deportation Could Jeopardize Mt. Kisco’s Future.”
Robert, did you read your letter out loud before you e-mailed it? It really is quite amusing but you probably should have taken a deep breath and edited it before sending. A lot of emotion but not a lot of facts.
Mount Kisco has a large Hispanic population but you imply that a majority are illegals, which isn’t likely. Trump never called for the deportation of legal Haitians living in America, yet another lie. What Trump plans is to conduct a mass deportation of all violent gang members who have migrated into the country illegally, especially those from Venezuela, who are wreaking havoc all over our country.
However, those deportations will not be conducted by the military and they will not be forced into detention camps as you falsely state. Those raids will be conducted by government agencies like Homeland Security and perhaps the Border Patrol. If I remember correctly, it was Obama who used detention camps for his mass deportation operations.
You ask what would happen to Mount Kisco if Trump has the opportunity to fulfill his planned mass deportations. Well, let’s see. Most, if not all, of Mount Kisco’s recent quality-of-life issues and complaints would likely disappear. You know the rampant drinking in public, the public urination, the fights, the medical calls for drunken men who have passed out. All news to you? Talk to your neighbors, take a look at your local Mount Kisco Facebook group. It is all people are talking about.
The millions of illegals who have flooded our country are the ones who threaten the fabric of Mount Kisco and our great nation. America was founded on legal immigration, by hardworking law-abiding people seeking a better life. Not the violent criminals who have flooded our country, living lawlessly and taking advantage of the freebies being handed by the Biden-Harris administration.
Nothing changes unless you vote for Trump. Take back America, take back Mount Kisco!
