I encourage voters in the 17th Congressional District to support Mondaire Jones for Congress because of his values.

I believe in democracy. Our current representative, Mike Lawler, represents a party that supports a man for president who encouraged the overthrow of our democracy, has perpetrated the big lie since his defeat in 2020 and vows to be a “dictator” on his first day in office.

I believe in women’s rights and reproductive freedom. Rep. Lawler supports a party that not only overturned Roe v. Wade but has articulated plans to outlaw abortion nationwide.

I believe no one is illegal. People who come to the U.S. and apply for asylum deserve to be heard and judged by U.S. laws, not dehumanized and deported without proper legal procedures.

Then there’s the future of the planet. Rep. Lawler has denied climate change’s existential risks to our children and future generations. Prior to running for Congress, he worked as a lobbyist for the oil and gas industry, downplaying the risks of burning fossil fuels.

Former Congressman Mondaire Jones, on the other hand, stands for democracy, encourages all Americans to vote and seeks to increase voter registration rather than suppress it. He supports a woman’s right to make decisions about her own body and advocates for creating a greener, healthier environment.

Most importantly, he believes in the worth and dignity of every being. In other words, he’s a good guy who will represent all of us well in Washington.
